About Sing Ireland

Sing Ireland empowers people and communities across Ireland to engage in group singing, fostering inclusion, wellbeing, and artistic excellence. Through our innovative programmes and national initiatives, we connect singers of all ages and backgrounds, ensuring the positive impacts of group singing are accessible to all.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrator to join our team. This role is vital to the smooth running of our organisation and involves providing administrative, communications, and social media support across Sing Ireland’s programmes.

 


Key Responsibilities

  1. Administrative Support
  • Ensure the efficient day-to-day running of Sing Ireland’s administrative tasks
  • Coordinate administrative meetings, take minutes, and manage scheduling.
  • Work with the CRM and databases, including membership and event registrations.
  • Handle enquiries from stakeholders, members, and the public.
  • Maintain and organise organisational records and files.
  1. Programme Support
  • Provide administrative assistance to support the delivery of Sing Ireland’s programmes and initiatives.
  • Coordinate logistics for events, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Assist with the creation and distribution of programme materials.
  • Available to support the running of our courses.
  1. Communications and Social Media
  • Develop and implement dynamic digital marketing strategies to increase public awareness and promote engagement with Sing Ireland. 
  • Update Sing Ireland’s website and social media channels, ensuring content is engaging, up-to-date, and aligned with the organisation’s vision.. 
  • Maintaining and updating the organisation's database and mailing lists to support marketing and communications activities. 
  1. Financial Administration
  • Support the financial administration of the organisation, including invoicing and expense tracking.
  • Liaise with suppliers and service providers.
  1. Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure consistent and effective communication across all projects and activities.
  • Contribute to team discussions and organisational planning.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in the arts, non-profit, or cultural sector.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite to include documents and spreadsheets, and experience managing databases.
  • Experience managing social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) and website content management systems. 
  • A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work as part of a small, dynamic team.

Desirable

  • Knowledge or interest in choral music or the arts.
  • Graphic design skills or familiarity with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

The Role

Contract Type: Part-Time (0.8 Contract) as a member of the Executive Team. The initial 12-month contract  will be offered in the expectation that it will continue past this period. 

Salary: 25,600 (€32,000 pro rata) per annum.  

Schedule: 28 hours per week/ 4 days per week (some flexibility on the scheduling can be mutually agreed within reason) 

Location: Remote and onsite at events. The role is primarily a remote position but may require attendance at events, projects, and meetings at a number of national locations. Equipment or other resources will  be provided as required. The successful candidate will need to be available to work during the residential courses overseen by Sing Ireland in the University of Limerick each summer.  For 2025, the dates are the 22-27 June, the 14-20 July and the 9-16 August. During this time, the administrator may be required onsite, and accommodation and meals will be provided, or they may be needed to manage the administration and enquiries, working from home.

Shortlisted candidates will be called to interview the week of the 10 March. First Round interviews will take place online on the 11 March and in person interviews will take place in Dublin on the 14 March.

It is envisioned that the successful candidate will begin working in March/ April 2025.
