    Opportunity - Dolce looking for a composer

    Details: Dolce, a mixed-voice community choir of 50-60 members based in Raheny, Dublin, invites expressions of interest from young Irish composers who would like to compose a song for the choir. Lyrics will be provided, and the song will be lyrical in nature, accompanied by piano, 3 minutes long, in 4 parts (occasional splits are ok). The successful candidate will be chosen based on examples of their work in this style. Ideally, the successful candidate would also give a workshop to the choir on the piece, in due course. Please send a cover letter, along with one or two examples of your choral composition work (pdf and sound file) to deirdre@dolce.ie. Closing date for receipt of entries is Wednesday 30th September at 5pm. A fee of €1000 will be paid to the successful applicant on completion of the composition and workshop.
