For 2025/ 2026, Sing Ireland is delighted to continue the development of the Star Songs programme and resources with Funding from The Community Foundation of Ireland and the RTÉ Toy Show Appeal.

In the Spring of 2026 we will be taking Star Songs on the road, with workshops in settings across Ireland, where we welcome families to come and sing and explore music with musicians from Sing Ireland. If you would like us to come to your area- get in touch!

First up, we are so excited to collaborate with the wonderful Ríona Sally Hartman on new songs to add to the Star Songs Collection!

In 2024/2025 Sing Ireland was delighted to recieve funding support from the Arts Council of Ireland and the Arts in Early Learning and Childcare Scheme 2024. Sing Ireland launched a new programme in collaboration with County Childcare Committees around Ireland. 
 
Sing Ireland commissioned composers Séan Doherty and Laura Sheils to write 4 new songs around the themes of Starts- stars in our community and within our children and young people. 
 
In addition, Sing Ireland worked with a team of Sing Ireland Musicians to StarSongs sessions were delivered in 23 childcare settings, using singing to promote confidence building and creative development in early childhood. It will encourage children to explore their sense of self by using their voice.
 
 

The focus of the sessions was:

• Use singing as a means of creativity in early childhood.

• Promote self-agency and self-discovery through singing.

• Develop skills in children to explore their own abilities through exploring playing with sounds and physical movements.
