Details: Would you like to join an award winning young choir? Coole Harmonies are a young choir, founded in 2005 as part of the Coole School of Music & Arts, based in Gort Co. Galway, for singers aged 10yrs+. This iteration was formed in 2013 under their new director Richard Pomfret. They sing a variety of songs, including different languages and styles such as folk, traditional indigenous, Renaissance and World music, sometimes accompanied, sometimes acapella in 2 or 3 parts. They won the Youth Category in the Ennis Choral Festival in Jan 2025 and came second the following year. The choir meets every Wed from 6-7.30pm in Gort Community School for classes.
